​Due to the recent poor rainfall in Zambia, the Wellspring team did not undertake significant maize or crop production at the farm. However, we are still utilizing the plot for smaller farming activities. With the help of James, our caretaker and administrative assistant, we managed to plant some maize. This activity supports the girls during their school break and provides them with valuable farming knowledge.

​This year’s Christmas party was hosted by the Wellspring team at the girls’ house. The event included the organization staff, the girls, and their parents.

On December 21, a Saturday morning, auditors from NGOs in Lusaka visited Wellspring for an inspection. We presented the skills the girls are acquiring.

​The WellSpring team attended a Christmas party at St. Raphael Catholic orphanage. The team enjoyed the celebration. Activities included poems, drama, cultural performances, and dancing. The girls participated in some performances, with an attendance of around 250 to 300 children.

​The girls are preparing to celebrate a special Christmas party on December 21st with the St. Raphael Orphanage. Our team has developed a good relationship with the leadership of that ministry, creating a strong “partnership” where we can share ideas and learn from the experiences each group has encountered. We are like-minded organizations, with very similar core focuses.

​Yesterday, the girls took additional steps into the exciting world of computers, learning critical typing skills. They are thrilled to have this amazing opportunity to explore what a computer can do and how it can empower their learning.

December 3rd the WellSpring family celebrated both JoJo and “Small” Naomi’s birthday. They were the first birthdays we ever celebrated as a ministry and it is hard to believe this is their 3rd birthday to celebrate with us.
