Mary and Nessia were referred to Wellspring by the Ministry of Social Welfare, a Zambian government office with which we have a close working relationship. They required immediate and temporary protective services as two young girls aged 9 and 12.

Saturday Bible studies play a crucial role in our ministry, as they provide an opportunity for engagement with the sponsored boys. Our team has been gaining valuable insights into the lives of the children we support and the positive impact we have on their circumstances.

Naomi is a key member of the founding team at Wellspring, and her significant contributions have greatly influenced the ministry’s presence in Mufulira. She has been actively volunteering since the inception of the organization, providing invaluable support to the children, families, staff, and fellow volunteers.

​On 14th July 2024, Catherine had the joy of celebrating her 12th birthday for the very first time at Wellspring House! This special day was filled with excitement as she got to wear new clothes and enjoy a delicious cake, and we can’t thank Wellspring enough for that. The Wellspring family joined in the fun, making her celebration truly joyful.

This past Saturday was a significant day for the children sponsored by Wellspring, a program designed to bring all sponsored male students together for Bible study lessons and other interactions.

Marvelous is one of the students being supported by Wellspring in educational initiatives. He is a dedicated and passionate student who values education and strives to make a positive impact in his family.

In March, the Wellspring organization embarked on an inspiring journey to find land for the future Wellspring Girls House, which will provide a nurturing home for 18 deserving girls.

On April 12, we celebrated Clara’s birthday, an event that brought joy to the girls and the entire household. As part of the Wellspring family and management, we are grateful to have Clara as a caregiver for the children.

Thanks to your amazing kindness, the girls are all set to kick off their school adventure!

Here is a “literal” update from the field, All of the crops are doing well. The corn was grown in phases, and the earlier phases are beginning to see tassels while the younger corn is going through its pesticide application.
