As the girls are settling into the house and their new lives, we reach the holiday season. Zambian schools are on holiday and that means Clara and Naomi’s younger siblings have come for a visit. Diana just completed her 7th-grade year and over the past couple of years has become a fan of working with Legos.
Legos are being kept in the house to help with creativity, stimulating the minds of the girls who have been living in trauma, and mathematical and organizational skills such as counting and sorting.
Jolima, Martha, Naomi, and Aaron (Clara and Naomi’s youngest brother) have loved being taught by Diana. We love seeing the family that is being built and the girls enjoying this time together.
