WellSpring celebrated its first Christmas as a family. On December 25th the families of the girls were invited to come to a special meal and time of celebration.
Everyone in the house helped with preparations, including the girls who helped with the cooking and decorating.
Chicken, rice, vegetables, and nshima were served and as the families shared in the meal, the Word of God was also shared with each person.
Due to very heavy rains that came mid-morning and lasted until late afternoon, some of the families were unable to attend – flash flooding completely immobilizes you when your primary mode of transportation is walking.
Since the food had already been prepared, the girls took the excess food out to those they could reach and to those in need.
Those that were able to join the celebration truly enjoyed themselves with all the activities and sharing.
