Every Saturday afternoon everyone involved with WellSpring is invited to join for a time of bible study, prayer, and praise.
This past week our team was joined by an interdenominational team called “The Family of Christ”. The team is comprised of several individuals from the surrounding community coming together for the purpose of sharing the good news of Christ and touching the lives of those in need with donated resources.
The FOC team became aware of WellSpring earlier this year and decided to make the ministry a recipient of their gifts. They came and share a time of bible study, sharing from I Peter 5:2, 7-9. They encouraged the children and our staff on what it means to truly serve Christ, putting God in the middle of everything we do.
During the bible study the girls shared in a time of praise, Mary and Naomi Malokota led the team in a time of singing. The children also shared several memory verses they have been learning, including a favorite from Jeremiah 29:11
The members of FOC encouraged the Wellspring Team to continue to trust God for healing and strength as He alone provides for their every need. They also encouraged our team to feel free to reach out if there ever is a need they can help with.
The FOC team also blessed our ministry by providing 4 Chickens, 2 bags of mealie meal (100 lbs of ground corn flour), Toothpaste, Bags of Sugar, Toilet Paper, Laundry Soap and other cleaning supplies. It was truly a blessing to receive this assistance from a local group – they truly went the extra mile to bless the children of WellSpring and we are very grateful for the gifts.
