A mothers Cry For Help

Annie is a resilient widow living in Kawama West, house E111, aged 42 years. After the loss of her husband in January 2020, she became the pillar of strength for her family. Annie is the proud mother of 7 children, each with their unique dreams and aspirations.

Jennifer, 23 years old, has completed her school education and is determined to overcome the challenges she faced in her exams. She is a loving mother to her child and is dedicated to building a better future.

Prescovia, at 20, is currently pursuing her Grade 12 at Kalanga Secondary School and is bravely raising her own child while striving for success.

Davis and Deborah, both 17, are twins in Grade 10 at Kalanga Secondary School, working together towards their goals.

Mercy, 15, is in Grade 8 at Kalanga Secondary School and is eager to learn and grow.

Young Blessings, only 10 years old, is in Grade 4 at Kawama West Primary School, and Gift, the youngest at 7, will soon take her first steps into education.

Though they share a tiny 3-bedroom house with 11 family members, Annie is the glue that holds them together, nurturing each of them with love and perseverance. She is also caring for her niece who faces mental health challenges and her child, Steven, who is in Grade 3 at Kawama West Primary School. In addition, Annie provides support to her 78-year-old mother.

Currently without a stable job, Annie displays remarkable determination, selling vegetables and engaging in small-scale farming to sustain her family. Life has presented many obstacles since her husband’s passing, yet she stands firm in the face of adversity, embracing the responsibility of caring for her family of 11.

She believes in the power of community and is reaching out to Wellspring for support, especially for her school-going children, knowing that together, they can create a brighter future.
