Give Hope, Change a Future: Prisca’s Story

Prisca Chota is a devoted mother doing everything she can to provide for her six children. Three of them live with their grandparents in the village, while she and her husband care for their three youngest at home. Life has not been easy for Prisca. After enduring an unstable first marriage marked by hardship, she is now striving to build a better future for her family.

Her husband picks up occasional yard work, and Prisca washes clothes and sells small bags of charcoal to make ends meet. Despite their efforts, their combined income is barely enough to put food on the table—often, they can only afford one meal a day. Schooling for their children feels like an impossible dream.

Joshua, age 11, is in Grade 4, and his younger sister Patience, age 7, is in Grade 2 at Chibolya Primary School. Their youngest, Promise, just received an acceptance letter for nursery school. But with the rising costs of school supplies and uniforms, Prisca and her husband simply cannot afford to send them to school.

Prisca learned about WellSpring through kind neighbors who encouraged her to seek help. She is asking for support—whether for one child or all three—so they can stay in school and build a brighter future.

Your generosity can break the cycle of poverty for children like Joshua, Patience, and Promise. With your help, they can continue their education and take a step toward a better life.
