Today we celebrated Shilla’s birthday 🎉 — and while it’s not her first with us at WellSpring, this year came with a beautiful first.
This morning, she was taken out for a special birthday shopping trip — something she had never experienced before coming to WellSpring. Just the chance to choose something for herself, to feel seen and celebrated in that way… it meant more than words can say.
Later in the day, the girls helped bake her cake, and the house came alive with singing, laughter, and love. Shilla’s joy was radiant.
Moments like this are part of the healing journey. They remind our girls that they are worthy of joy, of dignity, of being known and celebrated.
