On August 13th, our WellSpring family gathered for a very special celebration — Micha turned 12!
The day was filled with joy from start to finish. The girls worked together to bake her birthday cake, filling the house with laughter, sweet smells, and a lot of love. Then, with everyone gathered around, the singing began, candles were blown out, and Micha’s smile lit up the room.
But one of the highlights came even before her birthday: the day before, Micha was taken on a special shopping trip where she got to pick out her very own outfit. For Micha, this was more than just new clothes — it was a first-time experience, something she had never been given the privilege of doing before coming to WellSpring. The pride and excitement she felt as she wore her new outfit on her birthday was unforgettable.
Micha has been with us since January 2023. She came from unsafe and unstable living conditions where her mother struggled to provide for her and her siblings. At WellSpring, she now has a safe home, is thriving in school, and is discovering what it feels like to be seen, loved, and celebrated. She enjoys dancing, excels in subjects like English, Math, and Science, and is full of life and laughter.
Moments like these remind us of the transformation your partnership makes possible. Because of you, Micha’s story is no longer one of neglect and survival but of joy, growth, and hope.
