James is a vital member of the WellSpring team, serving as our Facilities and Maintenance Lead and so much more. Whether he’s repairing a fence, planting a garden, or sketching beside a group of curious children, James approaches every task with a kind heart and a teacher’s spirit.

Raised on a farm, James has a deep understanding of the land — a gift he now shares with the girls through hands-on lessons in agriculture and gardening. From sowing seeds to harvesting food, he equips them with the practical skills needed for a self-sustaining future.

But James’s talents don’t stop there. A gifted artist, he patiently creates drawings at the children’s request and encourages them to express themselves through their own art. His creativity and calm presence make him a trusted mentor — someone the children turn to not just for guidance, but for inspiration.

Lovingly known as “Brother” by all the children, James is more than a teacher or caretaker. He’s a steady, joyful presence who nurtures beauty, growth, and resilience in every corner of the Village.
