Saturday, July 1st, the team in Zambia celebrated our first anniversary. July 1 represents the acquisition of our first house, Clara and Naomi moving in, and the preparations starting so we would be ready to house our first girls.
Looking back now with all we have learned and seen how God worked, we can say even last year it was truly “blind faith” that took us to the start and brought us to today.
It has been an amazing year of seeing how God provides when we are obedient.
We had no money, no house, no staff, no furnishings, no supplies, we just had a calling. The Lord had clearly equipped us and He invited us.
As a team, our faith has grown this past year. We have faced many challenges – as a ministry and even in our personal lives.
God continues to teach us how to walk by faith – every month is a testimony to His provisions for our every need.
We also see the blessing of serving God as a family – seeing these young lives changed in dramatic ways. The bigger story of WellSpring is it is not just the children who you are impacting. It is their families and communities. WellSpring is truly a “David” sized ministry with a “Goliath” sized impact – that is the power of God alone.
Philippians 3:13-14 Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
This has been our heart’s cry and will continue as we live out this calling. We are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us as we continue to hear His calling and walk with the kids in their life journey. Thank You to each and everyone who gives in their time, and supports financially as well to make God’s will for each and every child come to pass.
